The DECT Forum has
been very active in international negotiations to secure spectrum
allocations for DECT technology and products worldwide. In
Europe and in certain other regions spectrum is allocated on an exclusive
protected basis. Elsewhere products based on DECT technology are
DECT usage is permitted in the red regions shown on the map below - new
countries allowing DECT operation (not yet shown on the map) include
Belarus, Eritrea, Macedonia, Serbia and the United Arab
Emirates.
