Screen Media (privately hold), a leading supplier of wireless Internet and telephony solutions and Dosch & Amand (privately hold) a pioneer in DECT wireless solutions today announce the FreePad. The FreePad is a wireless Internet and telephony enabled home appliance device, which maximizes the utilization of the DECT-DMAP technology.

Turnkey Communications Solution
The explosion of Internet and wireless technology has encouraged Screen Media and Dosch & Amand to combine their resources and technology to develop a wireless touchscreen device that can offer consumers services like e-mail, faxes, voicemails, e-commerce, telephony at a low price with an intuitive, ergonomic user interface. The device includes a WEB browser, CTI applications, a DECT wireless transmitter and a Smart card reader. Combined with the central control system provided by Screen Media this system provides a turnkey communication solution for Telcos, ISPs, communities, portals etc. The combination of wireless data and telephony based upon available technology (ISDN, ADSL, PSTN, CATV) is a unique offering.

"After 4 weeks of intensive search around the world I found the technology I was looking for to make the FreePad wireless", says Carl Henrik Janson, CEO and founder of Screen Media. The combination of data and PSTN is essential for the FreePad. To be able to utilize existing infrastructure like ISDN and DECT technology the FreePad can be introduced into any markets around the world. "We are convinced that the FreePad will be a large success with the phone and Internet capabilities", says Mr. Janson.

"I was approached by Mr. Janson from Screen Media approx. 12 months ago. For Dosch & Amand the FreePad was a natural way to add value to our wireless DECT-MMP technology. We are now working closely with Screen Media to make the FreePad a great success.", says Franz Dosch, President and co-founder of Dosch & Amand.
