Ericsson introduces new high-end DECT DT570 cordless phone

The Ericsson DT570 is the new, high-end DECT cordless phone for mobile office users. It is designed for high intensity phone users who need to control their reachability, and ensure easy access to their communication services anytime, anywhere. One of the new features of the DT570 is text messaging which enables users to receive important messages from the intranet/Internet, even when they are on the phone or in a meeting.

"Our new DT570 high end cordless phone for the enterprise market makes use of the latest DECT technology, and contains a full set of features for the professional end-user," says Paul Eggen, Product Manager Business Cordless Telephony, Ericsson Enterprise "Combined with its wide range of accessories, there is no equivalent product on the market today."

Full business functionality
A modern-styled, state-of-the-art cordless phone for business applications, the DT570 offers a large back-lit display and the latest Ericsson look and feel. With the DT570 the office will become a more efficient workplace. Users no longer have to return to their desks to look up numbers when they want to make a phone call - there are 100 entries for user definable names and numbers in the phone book with space for a further 1 000 pre-programmable entries.

The Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP) makes it easier for users to see who is calling. The CLIP presents the number of the caller before answering, and the Calling Name/Number Recognition (CNR) shows the name of the calling party when the name is stored in the phone book. Users can also see if the person they are trying to reach has diverted to another extension, eliminating the need to waste time chasing a person who will not answer anyway.

Extended user interface
The DT570 also offers enhanced functionality such as the ability to receive text messages and a user friendly divert action menu. Text messages guarantees that users can be reached - even when on the phone or in meetings. The programmable divert action menu eliminates the need for users to memorize a complicated list of divert codes. This makes it quicker and easier to control the status of their extension which - for enterprise customers - means improved productivity and staff reachability.
