GN Netcom chooses RTX Telecom as preferred partner for Bluetooth(tm) enabled products

GN Netcom, a world leader in hands-free communications technologies, and RTX Telecom, a world leader in turn-key development of wireless communication solutions, today announced that GN Netcom has chosen RTX Telecom as a preferred development partner for the next generation of wireless Bluetooth(tm) hands-free solutions. The agreement is a milestone for both RTX Telecom and GN Netcom in delivering world class products within Bluetooth(tm) wireless technology and hands-free solutions.

GN Netcom launched its first generation wireless Bluetooth(tm) headset in September, 2000 and is now further enhancing its world leading position in wireless hands-free communication, leveraging RTX Telecom's unique knowledge in the Bluetooth(tm) technology.

"GN Netcom was first on the market with a commercially available Bluetooth(tm) wireless technology headset. With this agreement we are now moving fast towards our second generation Bluetooth(tm) product, exploiting the vast market and technological experience GN Netcom has gained through its first generation Bluetooth(tm) products", stated Niels B. Christiansen, President and CEO, GN Netcom. "This underscores GN Netcom's position as the definite world leader in wireless hands-free communications", Christiansen added.

Neither company expects significant revenue or earning impact in 2001 as a consequence of the agreement.
